Sun Siyam Vilu Reef is accessible via seaplane or domestic flight: Seaplane Transfer Operates only during daylight hours, between 06:00 – 18:00.

To ensure a smooth transfer, guests must arrive into Malé early enough to connect to the seaplane.

Earliest outbound international flights from Malé should be after 09:00.Last seaplane departs Vilu Reef at approximately between 14:00 to 15:00.Guests arriving too late to catch the final seaplane (check-in at TMA terminal is required by 16:00) will need to overnight in Malé or Hulhumalé, or stay at the airport.

Close to perfect
Food was great overall, really liked the differently themed nights, there was always plant based foods available, we always had great selection. The staff and the overall service was exceptional. I would like to specially thank to Asmita, Maan, Praveen, Vijay and Chef Nittin Jain at the Aqua restaurant, you really made our stay feel like we're cared for. The island is beautiful, well maintained and the reef is really nice, snorkeling is good especially on the southern, eastern side of the island. Accommodations were gorgeous and clean (I was almost thinking it was too clean in some cases :) )
We're somewhat of a picky eater, so we check out and care for different allergens in our food. I think there could be some improvement on that side. In the A'la Carte restaurants on the menu they were displayed which is a plus, but at the buffet restaurant in general, it wasn't displayed on the foods. You could see egg free, gluten free, plant based / vegan, lactose free sings here and there, but in general it wasn't too much information available. Of course, we had the option to ask when we wanted (and we did), but a bit more transparency on these would be greatly appreciated.

A dream….
We‘ve had a wonderful vacation at the sun siyam Vilu reef. From the very first minute we arrived we had hab a wonderful welcome and a very relaxed and perfect stay. Our housekeeper siva made a wonderful job and came by twice a day to clean our room. The food was delicious and Juri was fantastic and very ambitious to give us a wonderful table outside. Jaslan,Shakil and Dilshan were always super friendly and tried to make everything perfect for us. In the evening we went to the bar where Amith always welcomed us and make us the best cocktails which we could enjoy watching the sunset. The resort was just wundervoll. With the reef infront of our bungalow we’d seen all fishes, sharks and turtles while we we’re snorkeling. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful stay in Maldives
The stay at Sun Siyam Vilu Reef was wonderful! We had a deluxe bungalow that had direct access to the coral reef (entrance number 2 if I remember correctly) and it was by far the best place for diving on the island. The marine life here is abundant. Our room was cleaned twice a day and was spotlessly clean. Our host Boni was very friendly. We loved the food and special praise goes to chef Chaminda who prepared something extra gluten-free for me every breakfast and dinner (I have celiac disease) and brought me Sri Lankan specialties. The food was varied during dinner (it gets repetitive for me when you are here for more than a week), and for breakfast it is all the same. The pool was great - very clean and modern. Thanks to everyone who made our stay unforgettable: ladies Isabella, Juri and Asmita (our older son loved them so much), Lahifaan who was always available and who always made our little baby happy and of course Boni and Chaminda.
